Volleyball is a sport that is played nationwide. There are many different organizations and associations that involve volleyball. Like most sports there are organizations and associations for both outdoor and indoor volleyball.

The AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) is an example of an outdoor organization. The AVP travels to all different places, such as Florida, California, Texas, Georgia, New York and Ohio. When trying to get into the AVP, there is a qualifying round that is based on your entry points. These entry points are added up and eventually decide the top 4 in the men's and women's divisions.

USAV (United States of America Volleyball) is an example of an indoor volleyball organization. When you talk about club Volleyball, this is where you would hear USAV mentioned. All coaches, players and referees have to be USAV certified in order to participate in club events. Unlike AVP, USAV covers indoor and outdoor volleyball events.
